Testel Finch LA, USA 3/15/05 Nice site, you've done great job, keep on working...will visit again. I enjoyed your web site. I liked the fact that you took the time to place as much information about the town as you could. Me and my will be visiting Ruidoso this weekend, and because of your site I feel that we will have an awesome time. Thank you. Your site was very helpful to me. Thank you. We will be arriving in March during spring break, I can
hardly wait. Ruidoso is my home away from home. I didn't get to go last year
and my heart was broken. We are wanting to visit Ghost Towns.. We already went
to Lincoln to see Billy the Kid town. This is a must see if you haven't been
there already...We might go see it again....Its worth it. Well Ruidoso
counting the days until I am in your beauty again. Hi, as a documentary maker I like traveling, so I like your
site as well! Thought you might be interested in the article I just
posted to me website at:
http://blue.homeunix.net/rick/go/home/ricks_family_site/ It involves some
of the folks that were around Ruidoso in 1940, including my great-uncle Bill
Hart, who formed and managed the first electricity utility in Ruidoso. This
BBQ preceded the Aspencade celebrations, at which Bill Hart presided over the
BBQ for many years. I recall winning the "best bicycle float" sometime in the
mid '60s...Anyway, hope this is, at least, entertaining, and, at most,
educational and useful to the people of Ruidoso. Can't wait to arrive on Thursday for a 5 day visit! We have
been going for over 5 years now and make 2 trips a year. One in August and one
in January. If you're able to visit more often, then by all means do it! It is
A MUST to go both in the summer and in the winter. What a wonderful place!
This is truly God's country! See Mark at the Idle Hour Lodge or the nice folks
at The Sitzmark!! I recommend both highly! Have a chocolate covered banana at
Sweet Retreat...pastries from Cornerstone Bakery (have the quiche and pinon
coffee)...drive the upper canyon. You won't be disappointed! Love New Mexico- never been to your area. Looks beautiful!!
Hope to visit someday soon!! We lost our walkie talkie at Ski Apache on December 21,
2004, and we went to lost and found building, located by the beginner skiing
area. You might want to call that Department and see if they have your camera.
Good Luck and Best Wishes. From The Nugent's family, Round Rock (do you
have any clues where it is) Texas - USA We are going the 2nd week in Feb. and never been before and
was hoping for suggestions for some restaurants in Ruidoso......thanks...
My family had a great time visiting Ruidoso for the first
time and highly enjoyed skiing and playing in the snow at Ski Apache. We are a
family from Venezuela living in Houston. It was worth the 12 hour drive from
Houston. We stayed at Upper Canyon from Dec 26 to Dec 30. Unfortunately, on
Dec 28, I lost a 35mm camera with a film and the pictures I have taken of the
kids and the family, invaluable memories that we all miss having now. The cost
of the camera itself is worthless but the pictures I'd taken are worth
millions of dollars to me and the family. The camera is a 35mm Olympus
(nothing fancy) and I lost it sliding down one of the hills behind the chair
lift at the far left side of the Ski Apache, around 5 pm. I would pay whatever
it takes to get the film back, whoever found the camera can keep it, I just
want the film & pictures. I even offer as a reward, buying a much better
camera to whoever found it me and my faimly have gone up to ruidoso,nm since i was
about 1 because my grandparents live up there and i have been skiing at ski
apache since i was about 4. |
