Tour Old Lincoln, New Mexico...the best-preserved town in the Old West...plus tours of Fort Stanton and other sites important to Western History. Jack Shuster is degreed in History with a field of interest in Social and Cultural History of the American People. A Living Historian and Reenactor, Jack will take you back in history to the first residents of the area and how they lived and bring you through history to the present day. There will be a stop for lunch at the historic Dolan House and Beverly Strauser will give us a history of the house which was built in 1883 and 1884 for James Dolan, who had taken over the business and other dealings of the Murphy-Dolan faction in Lincoln. Groups from one to twenty are welcome and Walking Old Lincoln tours can be scheduled to meet your needs. The tours of Old Lincoln take three hours or less, depending on the size of the group. Walking is less than a half-mile and everything is wheelchair accessible except for the second floor of the courthouse. Private tours are available.
